The Current Club

The Current Club Group, mainly composed of Mr. Mark Klosky, a licensed realtor in Florida, and Mr. Lopez, his partner, a commercial property developer, also in Florida. Mr. Kas and Mirbod will serve as strategic partners of the development. They are both in the process of developing a 125-acre project in Palm Coast, Florida. The project will encompass 6 acres, at the site of the Old Current Club (see maps on website), with an investment of $8 million. Features: An upscale resort/residential community complete with 34 condominium hotel units and villas, marina, restaurant and upgrading of the existing dock. The villas will consist of two and three bedroom units furnished on the inside with tropical hardwood trim, marble, stone and a mahogany finish. Bahamian artwork will highlight the décor of the room. Amenities will include swimming pools, fitness room, business centre and a game room.

Powell Point at Cape Eleuthera


The Developementis owned by various members of the Richard M. DeVos family of Grand Rapids, Michigan. The DeVos family’s principal business is Alticor Inc., the parent company of Amway Corporation, which was founded by Mr. DeVos and Jay Van Andel in 1959. Principals of the Development are also experienced in development projects in The Bahamas, having teamed with Princess Cruise Lines to build the Princess Cays facility, the cruise line’s exclusive port of call located approximately 15 miles from Cape Eleuthera and Powell Pointe. This development will encompass about 700 acres, and will include town homes, estates, villas, as well as a full-service marina and dive shop. Construction has already started, and sales have been, reportedly, brisk.

Sunset Cove Condos


Sunset Cove is situated in a subdivision called Rainbow Bay on the Island of Eleuthera, Bahamas. This property is on the spectacular sunset side of the Island. All units will have a beautiful view of the sunset, the calm Caribbean waters and the pool. They all have 2 stories and 2 porches. Sunset Cove is approximately 30 minutes away from Governor's Harbour Airport. There are several daily flights from Fort Lauderdale and Miami (about 1 hour) going into one of the 3 airports on the Island. Royal Island

Roger Staubach, former Hall-of-Fame quarterback for the Dallas Cowoys, along with Jack Nicklaus, and Cypress Equities, developer of the planned Royal Island in the Bahamas, has announced that the high-end private resort will be the site of the first Jack Nicklaus Golf Club.

Royal Island is a 440-acre uninhabited island approximately 190 miles east of Miami near Harbor Island and Eleuthera Island. Cypress Equities, the development affiliate of The Staubach Company, a global real estate advisory firm founded in 1977 by NFL Hall-of-Fame quarterback Roger Staubach, announced in May its purchase of Royal Island. It plans to develop an ultra-luxury resort and private club residential community. In addition to private residences and the golf club, a 300-slip marina and a boutique hotel and spa will be built.

Construction on the Royal Island marina is anticipated to start in early 2007. Construction will begin on the golf course, as well as the hotel and homes, by mid-2007.



Buttonwood Reserve

Situated on 50 lush acres 10 miles north of Governors Harbour, Buttonwood Reserve extends from the Caribbean Sea on the west to the Atlantic Ocean on the east. The residences, located on a ridge overlooking the Caribbean with sunset views, are connected by a private drive to a pristine pink-sand beach extending for miles along a deserted Atlantic coast. Amenities include sweeping views of the Caribbean from all units, a resort-style swimming pool, boat dock on the Caribbean, and a private nature preserve.
